Who pays the escrow fee — buyer or seller?
The seller chooses when creating the deal. You can pass the fee to the buyer (it's added on top of the price), or absorb it yourself (it's deducted from your payout). This is configured per-deal, so you can set it differently for each transaction.
What happens if a deal is cancelled or disputed?
If a deal is cancelled before delivery is confirmed, the buyer is refunded 100% — including any escrow fee. Hold Am charges zero cancellation fees. For disputes, our mediation team reviews photo evidence and resolves within 48 hours at no charge.
How quickly does the payment reach my wallet after release?
Payments are disbursed to your MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or AirtelTigo wallet instantly — typically within 1 minute of the buyer confirming delivery. Bank transfers take 1–2 business days depending on your bank.
Is there a minimum or maximum deal size?
Minimum deal amount is GH₵ 10. There is no maximum — our platform supports high-value deals for vehicles, property, and enterprise contracts. For deals above GH₵ 500,000, contact our business team for dedicated support.
Can buyers pay without creating a Hold Am account?
Yes. Buyers can pay via a shareable deal link without signing up. They just enter their phone number, choose their payment method, and the funds are secured. No app install required — the whole flow works via WhatsApp or SMS links.
Is Hold Am regulated? Are my funds safe?
Hold Am operates in compliance with Bank of Ghana guidelines. Funds are held in a neutral escrow pool through our licensed payment partner Moolre. Your money never sits in an individual's account — it's always held in trust until both parties confirm the deal terms are met.
